  • Adjacent excavations within up to 6 metres from neighbouring structure/s
  • The construction of a new wall / structure on a line of boundary

Notifiable Works & Access Rights to Neighbouring Land Works are generally notifiable under three circumstances: Section 1 - Building on the line of boundary Section 2 - works to a Party structure / works adjoining a neighbouring property Section 6 - Adjacent excavations The purpose of the Act is to facilitate building works. Consequently building owners have certain rights including access onto neighbouring property to carry out building works / erect scaffolding etc. Darren Frias-Robles MRICS is an expert party wall surveyor .
