From the verb to sustain meaning: to support; to provide for; to maintain; to prolong
And that’s what we aim to do, we’d like to think that we can help prolong and maintain our world by making buildings greener, more efficient and effective in turn passing on savings to the end user, you.
We are licensed for a number of energy efficient ratings and certifications. To find more, please read below…
Code for Sustainable Homes - We are licensed Code Assessors, approved by the Building Research Establishment (BRE) to undertake assessments under the Code and provide certification for projects. Code for Sustainable Homes – EPCs – SAP – Carbon Reduction – Renewable
EPC (Energy Performance Certificates) - It is now a requirement that all domestic and commercial properties have an energy performance certificate prior to sale or lease. An EPC is now also required prior to the issue of a completion certificate from Building Control when a new domestic property is constructed.
Carbon Savings - With the use of computer modelling techniques, we can assess the ‘carbon footprint’ of a building either when constructed or at design stage and demonstrate how this can be reduced. For new projects we can design and model buildings that will achieve the ‘Zero Carbon’ rating that will be required for all new houses by 2016.
SAP ratings - We are licensed to provide SAP ratings and this often forms part of the package of services that we provide for Building Regulations applications. We will provide advice at an early stage in the design process on how cost effective energy saving measures can be incorporated to ensure a project passes.
Renewable Technologies - An area of design and construction that is becoming ever more important. We are able to advise on the viability of various technologies at an early design stage so they may be successfully incorporated into a project. This combined with our computer modelling techniques means that the most appropriate solution can be chosen on the basis of effectiveness and cost.
